New Releases @ After Five

Hey all!  Well, I'm totally slacking in the blog department.  But the designers I create pages for have definitely not been slacking!  Both Laurie Ann and Kel of Boutique Cute Dolls have new releases this week!

First up...The staff at Scrap Orchard were tasked to post a funny photo of ourselves for our staff page.  This was so silly!  And no one was around to take my photos...so I tried to do it myself.  Go ahead and check out the new staff page!  Kel's new kit was perfect to scrap a few of the silly faces that I made.

Laurie Ann released this adorable kit perfect to scrap road trips, bike photos, riding toys or cars!  For a challenge, I chose to "re-purpose" the kit and make a more generic page.  My Aiden took some great photos during our Spring photoshoot...I can't believe how quickly he's growing up!

And of course, I used templates from Busy Bee Designs!

That's it for me!  Too much has been happening in my personal life to really expand on....someday soon I will have to write about it just to purge, but for now I am going to just push on and keep going. So happy to have digital scrapbooking as a creative outlet!

Icky Icky...We've been sicky....

Wow...did the sickness hit us!  We've been sick for weeks on end now...Just one thing after another.  Whatever the germ factories (aka kids) bring home...I get and far worse.  The terrible cold with a deep cough that the kids had turned into pneumonia with me!  That REALLY knocked me for a loop.  So needless to say, I haven't been too creative lately.   But I do have a couple of layouts to share with you.

And then Laurie Ann released these two kits last week....I was so inspired!  It's the first page in so long that I actually didn't use a template!  I've become template-dependent, lol!

 I'm feeling a bit creative today!  So I'm off to scrap!

A couple layouts to share

Well, that really terrible cold/flu I mentioned in my last post?  Turned into pneumonia!  So I have been very sick...and very behind posting layouts and such!  I finally got a chance to scrap with those pretty ballerina photos I took.  I just love the background photo...Ava is crazy about flowers and it's cool to see her affection for them as she admires the flower she's picked.

This layout features a beautiful kit by Irene Alexeeva.

Love Lives Here

It's been a tough year...Actually, it's been a bit longer than that now but the experience has yet to end.  When things get difficult it is my kids that keep me going and the strength from Christ that allows me to endure.  It's been such a joy to watch my baby girls blossom into little ladies.  Their friendship is stronger than ever.  I love to listen to them play together and feel confident when I drop them off at school that they've got each other to lean on.  For their birthday I got them little silver necklaces with pink rhinestone encrusted tiaras and a heart that says "BFF".  They love them and tell everyone now that they are best friends forever.  It's easy to capture how much they love each other on camera....here is a page that shows that love is truly here between these two sisters.

I'll be back tomorrow to post a couple of new layouts....and a tiny freebie!  I've been a bit under the weather the past couple of weeks, but it means more scrapping time.  Guess it's true there is a silver lining in every cloud!

Revamping and Reviving the Blog!

Ok...so I pretty much abandoned my blog for a couple of years.  My new year resolution last year was to update the look and have it reflect a bit more of "me".  Well....it didn't happen, so I am getting a jump on it this year!

It's still under construction...but I really like it so far!  Laurie Ann of Heaven's Gate Designs created a kit a few months ago that just screamed "Wendy!" called Safari Chic.  I'm using that kit, along with a few other tidbits from Laurie Ann to design my blog.  Thank you, Laurie Ann...this is my favorite kit so far! 

And a SPECIAL thank you to Liz from Scrap Orchard!  She will be releasing these fabulous blogwear templates that made redesigning and personalizing my blog a BREEZE!  I'll be sure to post the preview and a link when they are released!

Well, this is really just a test post....I've got to finish up all my tabs, buttons, gadgets and whatzits!
